Hiking / Walking Trails
There is a wide range of hiking / walking trails in the general area including the Eagle Creek Trail. This wilderness trail features a warm-up cabin, washroom facilities, picnic areas and ocean views near Terra Nova Hospitality Home – be sure to ask your hosts about it. In addition to the Eagle Creek Trail, there are other hiking/walking trails located Clarenville as well as Terra Nova National Park.

Golfing
We are front and centre to three nearby golf courses. Enjoy the Famous 18-hole Twin Rivers course at the Terra Nova Golf Resort, Port Blandford – only minutes away from Terra Nova Hospitality Home. Terra Nova Golf Resort also offers the 9-hole Eagle Creek course.

Within 30 minutes away on the Bonavista Peninsula, there is the 9-hole The View Golf Course, located in Princeton. The third golf course in the area is the 9-hole Brookside Golf Course in Hatchet Cove. If you would like directions to any of these beautiful courses, be sure to ask your hosts.

Skiing & Snowboarding
Visit one of the provinces best downhill ski resorts, White Hills Resort, located on the TCH near Clarenville. Nestled across 55 acres of ski and board terrain in the majestic hills of the Discovery Trail, White Hills Resort has the proud distinction of being called “Eastern Newfoundland’s Winter Playground”.

In addition to Skiing & Snowboarding, winter enthusiasts can enjoy snowshoeing at White Hills Resort, as well as on our very own trail system (9km) behind Terra Nova Hospitality Home. Be sure to ask about rentals.

Tourism on the Discovery Trail
Take a trip down the Bonavista Peninsula to some of the provinces key tourist destinations in the historical Towns of Bonavista and Trinity. Step onto the deck of the 15th century replica ship “The Matthew” in Bonavista or explore the Random Passage film set in Trinity. Experience the rugged coastline and see whales, puffins, and icebergs! Visit the “root cellar” capital of the world – Elliston, or explore the “Factory” and learn about Sir William Coaker in Port Union.

Theatre & The Arts
We have a wide variety of options pertaining to the arts in this area. Within 2 hours, located in Bonvaista is the famous Rising Tide Theatre Company offering a wide range of theatre from comedy to drama and everything in between. Located in nearby Clarenville is New Curtain Theatre Company. This theatre company also offers a wide range of productions.

During the summer months, the Town of Clarenville provides “Arts Under The Stars” a free concert series from late June to Early September every Thursday night at the Elizabeth Swan Park in Clarenville.

The Town of Clarenville also is home of the Eastlink Events Centre which includes a 400 seat theatre that hosts a wide range of productions from concerts to drama. Visit their website for complete listing of upcoming events.
